How quickly can I get an estimate?

We aim to get an estimate to you within 24 hours. Although a team member may be in contact earlier to discuss your submission or ask for additional information.
How does United determine the initial estimate?

An initial estimate will be determined based on the information provided in the form above. The more details and photos you include, the more accurate our estimate will be.
Do I need to provide photos?

Photos are necessary as it gives our team a clearer picture of your forklift and its condition, which allows us to provide a more accurate estimate. See the below and an example of how your photos can be taken. Additional photos of notable areas are appreciated also.
Will United buy my forklift if there is finance outstanding?

Yes, United is happy to facilitate the payout of your finance. If looking to trade your used forklift, our friendly finance team can assist you in obtaining new finance if required.
How do I schedule an inspection?

Once you have received your initial estimate, you can contact the providing staff member and arrange an in-person inspection at a time that suits you.
What is involved in the inspection?

A United staff member will travel to your location to undertake a thorough inspection of your machine, where they will check things such as the mast, engine, exterior damage and they overall condition of the forklift. This process will generally only take minutes.
When can I expect to receive the final offer after inspection?

Generally, we can provide our valuation within 24 hours of our visit.
How will I receive payment?

Payment can be arranged through an electronic bank transfer to your desired account.
When does United collect the forklift?

Once a final in-person inspection has been completed by a United staff member and an agreed offer has been accepted, we will arrange to collect your used forklift at a time that suits you.
Will United purchase any type of forklift?

Yes, we will purchase any type of forklift. From pallet trucks to reach stackers and everything in between.
Are there any forklifts United won't buy?

United will not purchase any forklifts deemed to be non-compliant to applicable standards or unsafe. We also generally do not purchase machines that require major mechanical repairs and/or do not run, although we are always happy to help find a solution! Can I trade my used forklift for a new one?

Yes absolutely! Once a full inspection has been completed on your used forklift, the agreed sale value can be used as credit towards a brand-new forklift. United will handle the delivery of your new forklift and collect your used machine in the process.
Can United purchase a fleet of used forklifts?

Yes, we can purchase a fleet of forklifts. An assessment will be carried out on all the machines to determine a fair value.
I am not located near a United Branch, can you still buy my forklift?
