United has achieved another great milestone by opening the first South Australian branch in Adelaide earlier this month. The new branch located within the industrial area of Cavan, sits about 13km north of Adelaide CDB. This prime location will allow United to target key areas and provide excellent accessibility for both customers and suppliers. It will also put us in a great position to not only support our existing South Australian customers, but also increase our customer base in a new market.
The new branch brings together the latest forklift and access equipment from the world’s best brands including CAT® forklifts, Konecranes and Haulotte. This includes Adelaide’s newest rental fleet consisting of the latest models which have been built on reliability and safety.

United’s new Adelaide Branch Manager, Mark Siebum, highlights how this new equipment coupled with an experienced team, will play a vital role in positioning United well in the South Australian market.
“Our rental fleet has a major advantage in SA in that it is new from the ground up. We have the best technology, the best brands and the best service backing. For both sale and rental, we have outstanding service resources with experienced industry professionals, some of whom have more than 20 years knowledge of key industries important to South Australia.”
Within the first week of opening the branch, the Adelaide team has already successfully conducted their first sale. This included the handover of a new CAT 2.5 LPG forklift to Auslift SA, which is a forklift and materials handling specialist.
“We are a company that prides itself on building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with customers and suppliers, an advantage that was further recognised when we were crowned 2018 Rental Company of the Year by the Australian Hire and Rental Industry Association, HRIA,” said Mr Siebum.
“In South Australia, we have the same service credentials that will serve our customers in the access equipment market, which includes industries such as construction and maintenance where delays are costly, and reliability is prized. And the same safety, reliability and environmental features that are valued by the access market, are also very important to SA forklift market sectors such as warehousing, transport, retail and food and beverage distribution,” he said.
