Over the course of four days from the 6th-9th of May, United’s management team (David Maxwell, Trent Osborne and Mike Dejong), attended the Konecranes dealer conference in Sweden. It was with great honour and pride that they accepted on behalf of United, the top dealer in the world accolade for the Konecranes Distributor of the Year Award for 2018. What made this moment even more memorable was that the award was announced over video by Mercedes F1 team driver, Valtteri Bottas.
This top award highlights many of United’s achievement which include;
- Largest yearly order intake
- Largest single order in Konecranes History

Our association with Konecranes goes as far back as 22 years when it was known as SMV Fork Trucks. Since then, Konecranes has acquired and integrated the SMV brand to complement their already successful crane business worldwide. Over this long partnership, United has helped strengthen the brands foothold in the Australian market, helped through quality products and innovation.
Over the past 18 months, United has continued to achieve major milestones with the Konecranes brand. These milestones and achievements have been recognised at this year’s Konecranes conference. Two other awards received on the night included Konecranes Best Distributor Award for both 2017 and 2018. We should all be proud of these awards as it highlights the success of United’s national team.
