The Role

We are currently seeking a Spray Painter to ensure that the spray painting activities are conducted in a safe, professional, efficient and effective manner. 

Key Responsibilities

• Spray painting of equipment in the workshop to be performed safely, cost effectively and within allocated time frames
• In the event of a temporary spray job, this must be noted on the paperwork and the Service Manager notified
• Correctly dispose any waste paint/solvent regularly so as not to store too much waste.
• Keep the spray painting preparation area and spray booth clean and tidy
• It is the responsibility of the spray painter to ensure that if paint is purchased, an order number is submitted and paperwork is received and attached to the job
• General labouring and housekeeping
• General facilities/maintenance activities
• Assisting trades within the workshop
• Cleaning equipment
• On/Off Hire and customer damage inspections
• Other general hand duties within the capabilities of the person

Qualifications / Experience

• Current drivers’ license
• Trade certificate (or verification/ demonstration of competency & other qualifications) Spray Painting or Mechanical preferred but not necessary
• Ability to comply with required procedures and processes
• Competent in using hand tools an advantage
• Able to complete duties with minimal supervision
• High Risk Forklift License
• Physically fit and able to perform all manual tasks
